The Chinese academic said that the objective of the CPEC is to boost Pakistan’s economic growth while guaranteeing energy security, the development of the agricultural sector in the modern line, the establishment of Special Economic Zones (EEZs), tourism development, human resources development, national integration and regional links. “Asia remains the epicenter of the transformation of the 21st century, as the center of economic power is shifting from the West to the East. Regional cooperation is becoming the need of time. He said Russia wants to join CPEC and is warming up with Pakistan and establishing military ties with it.
“China and Russia are strategic partners and promote their respective strategic links with Pakistan. “Successive governments must remain focused and committed until the completion of ongoing projects,” he added.
He said the provinces should focus on the completion of industrial parks, rail lines and for the port of Gwadar to be operational as soon as possible.
“The ports of Gwadar-Chahbahar must complement each other to obtain mutual gains. To guarantee cooperation, Pakistan and Iran must strengthen bilateral relations. For Iran, CPEC provides an opportunity to break its international isolation, “he added.
Dr. Li said that the CPEC connected to Gwadar has the potential to radically alter the regional dynamics of trade, development and politics.
