Additional deputy commissioner Gwadar, Anees Tariq, said on Thursday that 1 million trees would be planted in the Gwadar district under the “Green Pakistan” program.
He expressed these views while chairing the meeting held in connection with the Green Pakistan program. Officials from several departments, including the district officer of the Department of Forestry, Yar Mohammad Daasti, attended this meeting.
Participants highlighted the planting of trees in all government departments, along the road and in public parks in Gwadar under the Green Pakistan program.
An additional deputy commissioner said that planting trees is our national responsibility, as they contribute to reducing flash floods and other natural disasters.
In addition, he said that trees and plants are the main source of the fall of air pollution and the increase of natural beautification. “He urged citizens to play all their role in this national cause.
